First Friday Requirements

  1. Attend Holy Mass;
  2. Receive Holy Communion;
  3. Go to Confession (within eight days before or after the First Friday);
  4. An hour of Eucharistic Adoration on the eve of the First Friday of the month (if possible);

When carrying out the aforementioned 3-4 required steps of this devotion, the communicant should have the primary intention of making reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for all the sinfulness and ingratitude of men.
